The Story of Spam and Beans
Spam Fritturz (christened by an angry mother with an affection for tinned meat products) and Lizzy Beans (unimaginative mother) are trained actors. They met at Manchester Metropolitan University School of Theatre and got on quite well.
After graduating they would meet regularly in Cafe Nero on Oxford Road in Manchester and exchange dad jokes. A strange comical chemistry had developed between them (not between their dads) and a queer sense of “we might be on to something here kid” arose (FYI… our dad’s are not gay) …but their boyfriends’ are…(example of dad joke)
They run their “World Famous Quiz” and “Shwizz” nights all over the UK, create and host various other events and write together. Lizzy often tries it on with Spam to no avail. They are united in their love of Pam St Clement, flamingos and dance routines.
Their grown-up names are Sam Curtis and Elizabeth Bassham and they live in London Town.
